Relationship Between Reticulocyte Count and Middle/High Fluouescence Ratio (MFR/HFR) Using Sysmex R-1000
Shin Ein-Soon

Abstract
1
This study is designed to analyze reticulocyte count and to evaluate the fluorescence ratio using sysmex R-1000 flow cytometry.
The agreement between reticulocyte count and middle/high fluorescence ratio (MFR/ HFR) was 78.6-83.3% for normal group and correlation coefficient was .4185-.5619. Percent of reticulocyte count and absolute number of reticulocyte count were significantly different in the mean MFR/HFR between normal and high group (p<.001). The multiple regression model explained 37.79% of the variation in the % of reticulocyte count, and MFR and RBC count were significant (p<.001).
The fluorescence ratio as an indicator of reticulocyte count suggested an acceptable quantitative index.
